You want to go back to school, but the time you have available doesn’t remotely coincide with the class schedules at local universities. And even if you could attend a regular class, the secular values of the school in your area may not mesh with your faith in Christ. Online programs at Southeastern University will help you overcome those two big obstacles to your academic and professional growth.
Our professors have transformed their rich lectures and class discussion points into eight-week online formats to help you learn at times that are convenient for you. No matter how little college you have had, a Southeastern program can help you earn a degree that will open professional doors. Haven’t taken a college class? Take core liberal arts, general education classes you need to earn a bachelor’s degree. Ready for a bachelor’s or master’s degree? We offer online programs that will enable you to earn undergraduate and master's degrees in fields offered through our on-campus program.
Concerned that earning your degree online is a sub-par alternative to taking classes in person? In a survey of over 1,100 colleges and universities, more than half of respondents rated “online learning outcomes as equivalent to or better than their face-to-face counterparts,” according to the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which supports science, technology, and higher education.
Besides convenience, online education has other advantages. In traditional college courses, few students participate in class discussion or take advantage of their access to the professor. But at Southeastern, all online students contribute to class discussions through electronic discussion boards. Hearing thoughtful responses from all of your classmates, who may live in different regions of the country—and the world, will enrich your education as an online student. And regarding personalized attention, your professors will e-mail or call you if you're ever fuzzy on a question or just need prayer or a word of encouragement.
