The Master of Arts in Intercultural and Urban Studies (M.A.I.S.) program is designed for the experienced missionary or other individuals desiring to minister cross-culturally. The program prepares the student from a global perspective who seeks to minister to other ethnic groups and to enable the student to meet the foundational qualifications of evangelical mission agencies in the areas of academics, skills and character. This program emphasizes academic scholarship, research and practical application of biblical truths to the needs of the nations.
By providing an understanding of Scripture and systematic theology, followed by the integration of this knowledge with modern strategies for missions, the program seeks to provide the capabilities needed for ministry in missions and for personal growth. Evaluation skills, as well as effective written and verbal expression, are emphasized.
